Shark is one of the edible marine fishes, and most of the farmed sharks sold on the domestic market are exclusively for food. Sharks are rare aquatic products on the table, but shark fins and fish lips have long been famous. Shark’s fin is tender and smooth, soft and glutinous. It is a precious food with the same name as bird’s nest and bear paw . Shark fin is expensive because of its rare availability, but it is not particularly nutritious. Perhaps compared with other diets, it is a symbol of luxury and wealth.
