Lemon

Lemon (Citrus limon) is an evergreen small tree of the citrus genus Rutaceae. It is native to Southeast Asia and is now mainly produced in the United States, Italy, Spain and Greece. It is mainly used for juicing and sometimes used as a cooking seasoning, but it is basically not used as fresh food. Lemons were brought to Europe by the Arabs. There is no record in ancient Greek and Roman documents. It was only grown in Genoa, Italy in the 15th century. It appeared in the Azores in 1494 and is rich in vitamin C.
