Catfish, also known as clarias catfish, slimy fish, pond lice fish, raw larvae. The distinctive feature of this fish is that it has no scales, mucus on the surface of the body, a flat head and a broad mouth, and four beards on the upper and lower jaws. The best season to eat catfish is between midspring and midsummer.
